Texas Historical Markers

Patrick often points out the historical markers as we drive down to the farm. I was looking into getting a book on all of the markers in Texas until Patrick's History Teacher mentioned having an app for that.
We downloaded two different apps, but this one was our favorite. The beauty of it is that you can read about the markers without stopping the car, but what fun is that. I am the master of stretching car rides out by stopping and taking pictures. The kids are usually great at humoring me. On this trip home, I was ready to call it quits and finish our drive, Patrick was the one begging for just one more marker. We hit 14 markers on this trip, we have plenty left for our next trips down to Houston.

We took a coffee break in College Station, the kids wanted to drive through campus. There are plenty of markers on campus as well.
The kids loved posing by the giant Aggie Ring outside of the Alumni Center on Campus.

The kids really loved this structure, a gift from Aggie class of  87.
