Boy Scout - Family Camping

Fall is here and our camping season has started up. September is the month that families are welcome to camp with Patrick's Boy Scout Troop. Roxie and I went up early to claim a campsite for our family. We were in the same camping loop as the Boy Scouts, but far enough away to have a bit of down time.

I did not see Patrick at all on Friday. Saturday morning I got up and went on a bike ride to find him. He and his patrol were cleaning up from breakfast. His Patrol was going to make breakfast burritos. I later found out that they dropped the eggs and broke all but 2 of them. I think that next time they will pay a bit more attention when they are preparing food.

 Because of the drought and high winds, all of Texas is under a burn ban. Alison and Owen decided to make a fire pit and fire using things they found around camp.

 Our site was really nice, there was tons of room for Ali to set up her play tent and her chairs. We were also very close to the park playground.

 We stopped by to check on the boys, they were preparing their entry for the cooking contest.

 I think they need a bit of work on keeping their area clean.

Student Council

Alison is running for student council. There are only going to be 4 representatives for the 3rd grade, so Alison has to make a poster and campaign for her votes. The speeches and voting will be this Friday.

 I'd vote for her.
